Happy Birthday Sayfie Review!

Today is the ninth anniversary of the launch of the Sayfie Review. Publisher Justin Sayfie has done an excellent job making sure his website is the "must read" every morning for Florida politicos.

Justin sent out the following message this morning:

Thanksgiving on Our Birthday

Today is a special day for the Sayfie Review - it is nine years old today.  As we pause (briefly) to celebrate our birthday, we are also giving thanks to you and every reader who has made the Review what it has become during the past nine years.

When the Sayfie Review was launched on August 16, 2002, Bill McBride and Janet Reno were in the final days of their competition to win the Democratic primary to take on Florida Governor Jeb Bush.  Here is a link to what the Sayfie Review looked like when it was three days old:
In the early days of the Review, a day with 100 visitors was a very good day.

Thanks to you, last year, the Review delivered over 5 million page views to readers in every U.S. state and in dozens of countries.  Thanks to you, the readers of the Washington Post online have voted the Review as the best political website in Florida -- two times in a row.  Thanks to you, the St. Petersburg Times has called the Review the "online bible for Florida's political junkies."  Thanks to you, the Review won ITFlorida's award for Excellence in Web 2.0.  Thanks to you, videos on the Review have been viewed over 200,000 times.  Thanks to you, the Review has almost 3,000 fans on Facebook, and over 3,500 followers on Twitter.  Thanks to you, our Twitter tag (#sayfie) is the most popular tag on the internet for anyone commenting on Florida politics on Twitter, and has been used by a U.S. presidential candidate, a U.S. Senator, a Florida governor, members of Congress, members of the Legislature, journalists, candidates and activists among many others.

None of this would have been possible without you.  We are ever grateful for your allowing us to serve you with Florida's top political news, and hope that our service has and will continue to help you be informed about those who seek power and those who exercise power in our great state.  That is our highest mission.  So if you ever have an idea or suggestion to make the Review more useful to you, you can e-mail me at justin@sayfiereview.com or call me anytime at 954-523-2427.

Thank you for your continued readership!

Cheers,
Justin
Congratulations Justin and the entire Sayfie Media team for nine great years, and many more to come!
