Allen West calls Obama a "lamb standing before lions"

I've made no secret of my admiration for Florida Congressman Allen West, and his tough, no-nonsense way of speaking...

...and West has made no secret of his disapproval of President Obama's foreign policy strategies.

In a Facebook post this afternoon, West posted a blistering critique in response to Obama's visit to Fort Bliss earlier today:

Listening to a lamb stand before lions and address them at Ft. Bliss trying to convince them that campaign promises are more important than sound foreign policy and strategic national security imperatives.
There would be no Iranian revolutionary guard forces in Syria if the Campaigner-in-Chief had listened to General Austin and maintained a residual combat presence in Iraq for the purpose of external cordon and support to the Kurds.
Iran has now extended its regional hegemonic dominance in order to support a terrorist regime and the murder of innocents by a despot in Syria. Courage and competence and critical components of leadership, horribly missing from this chap named Obama.

Calling Obama a "lamb standing before lions" is a bit nicer than the many internet images I've seen labeled "President Mom Jeans," but it does aptly describe what many of us believe: that "this chap named Obama" is in over his head as Commander-in-Chief.
