No, the Ridiculous Accusations About Rubio's Campaign Manager Aren't True

Some people have very creative imaginations.

Very, very creative. Or, to use another word, delusional.

A certain South Florida blogger decided this week to attempt to capitalize on the story about two staffers from the Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) campaigns getting into an altercation at a bar on Mackinac Island, Michigan, by inserting himself into the story and telling his own salacious tale of how Rubio has a "thug" of a campaign manager.

Greg Abbott's goal: "A Texas where any child of any background" can succeed

Earlier today, the Greg Abbott campaign sent out an email thanking everyone who attended his campaign kickoff in San Antonio. The email ended with this paragraph:
Together we will build a Texas that attracts jobs, promotes opportunity and rewards ingenuity – a Texas where any child of any background has a chance to smile, to hope, to dream and to succeed.

This is a must read: "Conservative Outreach to Hispanics: A Primer"

A prominent topic of the conservative movement's endless election postmortem discussions has been the issue of the Hispanic vote. Not surprisingly, a lot of people have a lot of opinions on the subject, and it can be difficult to tell at first glance which ideas are worth pursuing.

Below, I've embedded a paper titled, "Conservative Outreach to Hispanics: A Primer," which was written by Samuel A. Rosado and Brittney Morrett, with contributions from Michelle Lancaster and Ben Domenech.

#StandWithRubio - GOP Candidates Announce Boycott of Univision Debate

Que imbecilidad
Spanish-language TV station Univision learned a lesson today about the limits of their influence.

After the story broke that Univision had released an embarrassing twenty year old story about Senator Marco Rubio's brother-in-law, allegedly in retaliation for Rubio's refusal to appear on the liberal Al Punto show (Shark Tank has a good write up here), three Hispanic Republican leaders - Congressman David Rivera, Florida House Majority Leader Carlos Lopez-Cantera, and Miami-Dade County Republican Party Chairman Erik Fresen - sent letters to the Republican National Committee and the Republican presidential campaigns.

The candidates responded in an avalanche today, with Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Jon Huntsman, and Michele Bachmann all announcing that they would boycott a Univision-hosted debate unless the station made amends with Rubio.

Adam Hasner: "Consistent Message" and Principles Will Attract Hispanic Votes [VIDEO]

Here's an interview of Senate candidate Adam Hasner regarding what effect the Hispanic vote may have in the 2012 elections, and how to attract Hispanic votes, by Javier Manjarres for his recently-launched site, HISPOLITICA:

From the article about the interview:
Hasner does not think that Republicans need to tailor a “special” message to Latinos, but rather convey a message that all law abiding citizens can relate to.  Hasner also observed that Republicans need to emphasize the point that the Republican Party is the party that believes “that our rights come from our creator, that we are strong in faith, and we are a pro-life/ pro-family party.”
