High Five to Texas, Part II

When I visited Austin in November, I wrote a post about how Texas was great about its dedication to Tenth Amendment principles. It should come as no surprise that the Lone Star State is also strong on the Second Amendment.

Greg Abbott, the current Texas Attorney General, posted a tweet last night that will put a smile on the face of every Second Amendment fan:

Boom. Texas, FTW.

If you're missing the reference, the New York-based Journal News recently caused a lot of controversy when it published a report showing the addresses of residents of two counties who had permits to own guns (James Taranto at the Wall Street Journal had good write-ups here and here).

Anyway, no journalist would attempt that same trick in Texas. You'd end up printing a solid red map.

In a delicious bit of irony, the newspaper who invaded the privacy of these law-abiding citizens has now hired armed security because the backlash from their article is stressing them out a bit.
