Most Tasteless Administration in History

In April of 2010, Robert Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary at the time, infamously claimed that Obama administration was the "most transparent administration in history."

Well, the eleventh hour maneuver to claim executive privilege to shield documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal blows their already-laughable claim of "transparency" to pieces, but I'm thinking that maybe another adjective that begins with "T" is appropriate: tasteless.

This was posted on the official @BarackObama twitter account about half an hour ago:

"Still a BFD" ????

Seriously? Seriously?!

Is this really the type of conduct we should expect from our President?

Obama is clearly referencing Vice President Joe Biden's off-color remark, caught by the microphones and transmitted on live television on the day ObamaCare was signed into law, that the legislation was "a big f***ing deal."

Now, I'm not a prude and I'll admit that my own language strays from a G rating, but I do make an effort to keep my online persona somewhat professional (as much as I can with @rumpfshaker as a twitter handle, ha). I would never post something like that on behalf of any candidate or organization that I was representing, and I don't think it is appropriate for the White House.

Of course, this is the same President who gave the Queen of England an iPod with a bunch of his speeches uploaded on it, so maybe my expectations are too high.

"Most Tasteless Administration in History!"

  1. OMG that is f---ing ridiculous. yeah, I said it. But I'm not president! this isn't really a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it does illustrate an overall lack of decorum and class that characterizes this White House. MITT 2012!!!
